John Beavan UK Cabinet Makers currently employs eight cabinet makers and one apprentice. The cabinet makers were all once apprenticed to John and have since stayed with the company, some for many years. This has created a tight-knit and committed team with all the traditional skills necessary to produce work of the finest quality.
The workshops occupy around 9600sq.ft. incorporating separate areas for machining, bench work, veneering, polishing and a large assembly area. They are constantly being developed, not only to ensure that all current regulations are met, but also to create a more productive workplace. All staff are encouraged to offer practical suggestions which are often put into practice.
Working from drawings developed by the design team, the finest hand selected woods and veneers are used to produce detailed furniture and joinery to the highest standards. A range of finishes are achieved from high lacquer to traditional polish and methods of aging are used where appropriate.
