Bespoke Solid Oak Doors, Individually Handcrafted for a Grade II Listed Home.

Historic openings don’t conform. Neither should the joinery.

Over centuries, historic buildings naturally move and settle, walls shift, frames change and every opening develops its own unique shape.

For architects working with listed buildings and period properties, standard-sized joinery is rarely the right solution.

Bespoke oak doors for a Grade II listed home

For this beautiful Grade II listed property, we handcrafted a series of substantial solid oak doors, each individually made to fit its historic opening.

The doors are:

  • Double-skinned for strength and longevity
  • Traditionally boarded and nailed
  • Fitted with locally hand-forged hinges and pulls
  • Individually made to suit each opening
  • Designed in keeping with the age and character of the property

Every piece of oak was carefully selected, traditionally jointed and precisely machined in our Worcestershire joinery workshop.

There are no standard sizes or shortcuts – just skilled craftsmanship and bespoke heritage joinery made specifically for the building.

Made to weather naturally

The exterior oak has deliberately been left unfinished, allowing it to weather naturally and gradually silver with age.

As the timber develops its own patina, the doors will settle beautifully into their historic surroundings and increasingly appear as though they have always belonged there.
