JOHN BEAVAN

Our planet

At John Beavan, we are deeply committed to preserving our planet and minimising our environmental impact. Our sustainable practices reflect our dedication to creating a greener future. Our workshops are based in rural Worcestershire, providing an ideal central location with ease of access, meaning your commissioned furniture travels fewer miles, reducing our environmental footprint.

Energy Efficiency

Our workshops are equipped with low-energy LED lighting to reduce electricity consumption. Additionally, solar panels installed on our roof generate a significant portion of our energy needs, further decreasing our reliance on non-renewable sources.

Waste Management

We manage our waste with great care and efficiency. Wood shavings from our workshop are repurposed to fuel our biomass boiler, providing eco-friendly heating for our fully insulated space. This not only reduces waste but also ensures we use sustainable energy for our operations.

Local Sourcing

To cut down on fuel consumption and support the local economy, we prioritize sourcing sheet materials and timber from nearby suppliers. This practice helps minimize transportation-related emissions and reduces costs, making our operations more sustainable.

Tree Planting Initiative

Understanding the importance of giving back to nature, we are actively involved in tree planting efforts. To date, we have planted a diverse mix of 150 native trees, contributing to reforestation and enhancing biodiversity in our area.
